What’s next for Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ and ‘Jessica Jones’? (And the rest of the Marvel universe)

Netflix is launching an animated series of Marvel comics called Daredevil, and is looking to create a spinoff starring a female superhero in the upcoming movie, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the spinoff is “a reboot” of the comics, but the network is keeping the core cast intact.

The show will be created by Darryl Frank and produced by Alan Fine, and will star Matt Murdock, Karen Page, Karen Kinney, and Elektra Natchios.

The series will debut in the fall, according to The Reporter.

Marvel has not yet released any details on the spinoffs.

Netflix’s Daredevil and Jessica Jones have not had much success on the streaming service, and both show have seen the company take legal action against it, citing false advertising.

Netflix has also sued Marvel for copyright infringement and attempted to have the show canceled.

The Daredevil spinoff will be the first Marvel series with a female lead since Jessica Jones premiered on Netflix in 2018.
