Phanews: How the Philippines’ new ‘entertainments’ plan works

PHILIPPINES — The Philippines has unveiled a new entertainment industry, aimed at improving the quality of life for millions of Filipinos by introducing new technologies that offer entertainment experiences that could help improve quality of living in the country, according to a press release Tuesday.

The new industry will offer entertainment, entertainment, recreation, culture and education, among other new offerings to boost productivity and income, the government said in a press conference on Tuesday.

It is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2021, according a government press release.

“The Philippines is a land of many cultures, but our most significant contribution is its diversity and the unique way that Filipinos come together,” the statement said.

“In order to help us realize our goal of being one of the most culturally diverse nations in the world, the Philippines will implement the most progressive, modern and innovative entertainment industry in the Philippines.”

The Philippines’ entertainment sector is in a state of flux.

The government has promised to develop a new tourism sector to help boost the country’s tourist revenue, but the plans to expand the entertainment industry are still in the preliminary stages, with the Philippines currently ranked third in the World Tourism Organization’s Global Competitiveness Index, behind South Korea and China.

The Philippines has been ranked as one of Asia’s most livable countries by the International Monetary Fund for several years now, and according to its Tourism and Tourism Affordability index, it has the third-highest per capita GDP among the countries in Southeast Asia.
